First Consultation
There are several objectives of the 1st consultation.
- To establish an open, trusting relationship
- To review the chronology of your health issues
- To understand modalities, meaning what worsens and improves your symptoms
- To investigate possible causes for the development of your condition
- To not simply treat the symptoms but to address and resolve the causes
This first part of the conversation is usually about 30 minutes.
If lab and other reports are reviewed, this may require another 15-30 minutes.
Then we go onto some testing, for another 15 minutes.
Viewing a tiny finger prick of blood under a darkfield microscope. This can reveal the following.
- If red blood cells are nice a separate or stuck together (rouleau)
- The size and activity of white blood cells
- Bacteria seen if there is a low-grade systemic infection
- Mold
- Viruses are too small to see
- Fibrin or strands of protein usually due to incomplete digestion of proteins
- Clots made of fibrin and platelets
Another 15 minutes is needed for testing the energy or Chi in various acupuncture meridians. Here we ask questions regarding the following possible underlying questions.
- Parasites
- Abnormal intestinal bacteria
- Food allergies
- Adrenal function
- Sinus issues
- Dental issues
- Throat and tonsil issues
- Other meridians to be checked
- Spleen
- Pancreas
- Lungs
- Gall bladder
- Stomach
After all the above is completed, we, the two of us, will design a plan.
If there are labs to order, this plan may simply be a starting point which will then be modified once labs are reviewed.
The plan may include any of the following.
- Nutritional recommendations
- Supplements specific for what was discovered
- Intravenous treatments if appropriate
- Lifestyle recommendations
- Possibly a prescription
- Investigation of your environment most often related to mold
- Sunshine/movement/exercise
